Adding windows to a particular room in your house makes it look larger than it seems. Also, not only does it add an illusion of space and appeal for your room, it also brings in some light. This is the reason why most people add windows not only to the common rooms in the house but also to their garage doors. This article will tackle about the step by step process in adding these windows.

The first thing you need to do in adding windows to your garage door is to make some measurements. You need to make the window you are going to install fit perfectly to the space you have allotted for it. After you have made the right measurements for your window and make space for it, you can go to a local hardware and purchase a ready to install window. This window you are going to purchase is the easiest to install, and on top of that, it is the most durable.

The next thing you should do is prepare a jigsaw and a marker. Place the window on the space you have allotted for it and mark the sides with a pen. You can also use masking tape if you are afraid of messing up your door with ink. After marking your door, cut the marked portion with a jigsaw. Make sure that you clean the sides and edges to make sure that the windows fit perfectly and avoid scratching it.

After you have installed it, your garage door is set. There are many designs that you can choose from that would best work for you.
